Now that we have covered the important stuff, food and coffee, I am going to share some of my favorite (and very cheap, if not free) activities with you! Whether you like to walk around and sight see, watch a Broadway show, or shop, I have some suggestions for you that won’t break the bank!
Calling all the people who love to take a relaxing stroll! One thing about me is that I love to take walks, and this walk that I am about to tell you about has been one of my top 5 favorites.
- The High Line: The High Line is an elevated walking path that expands from areas like Hudson Yards to Chelsea. The High Line encompasses views of water, beautiful buildings and apartments, and finishes off by ending up at Chelsea Market. This is a must do in NYC!
Are you more of a person who likes to sit down and enjoy a Broadway show? If so, I have some tips and tricks on the best ways to find the cheapest tickets.
- Run from box office to box office: This was the key to our success in finding cheap tickets. About 2 hours before most of the shows started, we traveled around to all of the box offices and were able to find cheap last-minute tickets. If you are on a budget, this is the best process to take. My ticket ended up being under 30 dollars!
If you know me, you know I love to shop! What better place to do this than NYC, am I right? The place I am about to highlight below is such a fun and eclectic place to shop.
- Chelsea Market: Chelsea Market is in such a charming part of town and offers products from clothes to souvenirs to food! After you get hungry from all of the shopping, look around for a taco shop or a crepe bar!
Thank you for flowing along this week! I hope I have provided some tactical suggestions for your next trip to New York City. Don’t forget to subscribe to my weekly emails in the “Follow Me” tab at the top of my blog if you want to stay up to date on what is coming next! Talk to you soon!
