Whether you are someone who loves an itinerary when traveling, or someone who goes with the flow, Charleston can be a perfect trip for you! I am definitely someone who loves an itinerary and was able to fully enjoy a trip to Charleston because you never run out of things to do! With a perfect balance between outdoor and indoor activities, no matter the weather, there are many great activity options. A few of my favorite include:
- Shopping!
- Charleston offers so many amazing stores, from the common household name brands, to small, independent shops. When we visited, we were able to visit one of my favorite stores ever, Love Shack Fancy.
- Sightseeing!
- Charleston offers amazing sights everywhere you go. The architecture is amazing and offers the perfect walking trails to coffee in the mornings. I loved to take morning walks and just look at the beautiful houses. This is a free and fun activity for a leisure day!
- Isle of Palms Beach!
- If you want to spend a day at the beach, Isle of Palms is a pretty short drive from Charleston and offers the perfect quaint beach day. With local restaurants and shops, it is the perfect spot to relax for the day.
- Visit the College of Charleston!
- The College of Charleston is nestled right in the middle of Charleston and is a fun place to visit. My sorority sisters and I were even able to find our sororities’ house on the campus!
Charleston offers such a fun environment for people of all ages to enjoy and is a trip that I would highly recommend to anyone. Also, it is fully doable to enjoy Charleston on a budget because of all of the outdoor activities Charleston offers, which is something my friends and I appreciated.
