Welcome to Seattle- Mountains, City, and Whale Watching!

Welcome to… Seattle!! This week I am going to take you to Seattle, Washington and share with you some of the places that make this an amazing trip for anyone. Whether you like the city, the mountains, or anything in between, Seattle has it all.

The best part about Seattle is all of the fun outdoor activities it offers. If you are a nature lover, Seattle is definitely for you! From hiking in the infamous Mt. Ranier, to exploring Pike Place Market, time outside is well spent here. Below you will find some of my favorite activities to do in Seattle (and some of them are even free) :

  1. Mt. Ranier
  • Mt. Ranier is one of the highest mountain ranges in Seattle and does not disappoint when it comes to hiking trails. My family and I completed many trails throughout our time in Seattle and most of them were in Mt. Ranier. This beautiful mountain range is known for its breathtaking views (warning for everyone afraid of heights like me, there may be some serious inclines on some of the trails). Not only does it provide top-tier hiking, it also provides great lodging options. We stayed at a lodge resort like made us feel so at home! The owners and all of the guests were so welcoming. The resort had cookouts, game nights and more that really made the entire experience. If you love to hike and feel like you are in a hallmark movie, this is such a great stop to add to your Seattle list!
  1. Whale Watching
  • Although this activity can be on the expensive side, it is so worth it! I will never forget the astounding views we saw, and not to mention the whales we saw too! We were lucky enough to see a really rare sighting of a mom and her baby. They even put on a jumping show for us! The whale watch took out of Anacortes, a charming city on the coast that is also fun to explore!
  1. Pike Place Market
  • Pike Place Market is a must-see in Seattle! It is a free activity that offers a lot of sightseeing. Have you ever heard of the place where they throw fish at you? Well, this is where it happens! A very fun stop for sure!
  1. The Original Starbucks
  • Situated in Pike Place Market is the home of the original Starbucks! If you love coffee, you must go and see this fun place. Warning, the line can be long so sure to factor that into your plans!

There are just a few of the things you can add to your Seattle itinerary. Follow along this week because I will be posting more! Also, don’t forget to subscribe 😊
